I will be in the gallery this Saturday (November 18th) from 2.30pm on-wards. Where I will be adding to a large drawing as part of the gallery corner installation, this is part of my ongoing ’embracing spaces’ series.
A new large scale drawing created on Saturday in the gallery celebrating the Big Draw October’s International Festival of Drawing. With thanks to Tony Thorp of the mid-Wales geology club who inspired this drawing by introducing me to PITCHSTONE – a volcanic glass.
Saturday 21 October 2017 I am back in Wyeside gallery from 2.30pm onwards for PART 2
On Saturday I worked on PART I of the corner installation – embracing spaces series: large scale drawing in pencil and pastels, inspired by my garden. This Saturday 21st October I will be back in the gallery 2.30pm onwards working on PART II of the installation.
I will be at the Wyeside this Saturday 14th October from 2.30pm onwards: KEEPING DRAWING ALIVE where I will be working on PART 1 – embracing spaces series, focusing on the tunnel corner of the gallery.
This is my solo exhibition at the Wyeside Arts Centre Gallery, starting on 3rd October until 30th November 2017. The main inspiration for this show has been geology, flora, fauna and mid-Wales historic mining sites.
On this site you can view examples of my work for exhibition, commissions, outdoor public art and greetings cards. I use a wide range of materials in my work, including oils, acrylic, glass, reclaimed windows, mirrors, pebbles, slate and other mixed media, much of it being reclaimed and recycled from its previous uses, something which I always do as much as is practical.
